Reviewed by Avid runner from Lincoln NE on Saturday, July 07, 2012Although I've stated that one of the "cons" for this shoe is it "feels to narrow." Specifically, for my feet these shoes felt too narraw at the sole. However upon wearing them for a bit, several hours to several days, these shoes don't even need a custom insole as I use in all my shoes. This because others won't fit into the footbed of this Addidas AS-1 shoe. But better yet these shoes don't need a custom insole; the midsole & outsole is very comfortable and still rigid enough for good support. I gave this shoe a 5-star rating for this reason and because they are pretty comfortable and wearable and affordable from who else but STP. I have a average 9.5m foot size and starting at the top of the shoe decsending towards the sole at the arch and heel, the footbed narrows so one's foot stays tucked neatly into the shoe with no lateral or forward movement. I like the way these fit in that perspective. Didn't at first.Took some wearing but my feet aren't fatigued from wearing these shoes. Good jogging, running shoe on most surfaces.

Walked through wet grass on the longer hike and inside of shoes stayed dry -- no wet socks. Shoes breathe well and no sweaty socks. Hard to find quality GoreTex hike shoes at the low price STP offers. I have bought a second pair to save for later.
