Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mary from Buffalo, NY on Sunday, October 21, 2012Have been on two long hikes with these shoes through slippery terrain and these shoes have been comfortable and sturdy. Walked through mud and water without slipping or wet feet so they seem to be pretty water resistant too. I have bad feet so usually they are the first thing to start hurting during and after a long hike and I haven't experienced any increased pain so far after hiking in these shoes. I should probably buy another pair for a spare as it is hard for me to find comfortable shoes. I also like the unique lace on this shoe. It eliminates the problem of shoe laces becoming untied and causing safety issues.
- Best Uses: Hiking, Sports, Walking
- Pros: Comfortable, Great traction, Secure, Water Resisitant
Verified Buyer Reviewed by bettyb from lexington, ky on Monday, October 15, 2012These were at least a full size too big, and they looked kind of funny, so I didn't bother reordering a smaller size.
Reviewed by oldblackdog from NY suburbs on Thursday, October 11, 2012I had high hopes for these as I need a new waterproof walking shoe for daily use (on paved and woodland trails) since this area has been drenched over and over this year. I had seen recommendations for these, and they are an attractive sport shoe, but these 10.5s were gigantic compared to other 10.5s I've worn. I usually wear a woman's 10/41 in dress shoes and a 10 to 10.5 (about 41.5)) in walking/hiking/exercise shoes worn with socks. The shoes themselves are marked 10 1/2 and 43.5 Euro and 9 UK - meaning they are more like a women's 11.5 to 12.5, or a men's 10;, and way,way too big, so that I couldn't tell how they might feel. I wish that the entire size range marked in the shoes had been listed on the website. It would have saved shipping costs both ways. So - I can only say that it looks like a well constructed piece of footwear - for someone else.
Question & Answer
“Size 5.5 in blue - how is it marked in Euro size ( usually on the inside of the shoe's tongue). Thanks!”
The women's 5.5 is a Euro 36.7.
Yes it has a medial post.
“I need a running shoe with high arch support and am hesitant to buy online because of this. I prefer addidas as they have been one of the only brands to work in the past. Does this shoe have high arch support? If not what womens running shoe is best in that category?”
This running shoe does have good arch support and others we can recommend with medium to high arch support are Asics, New Balance and Brooks running shoes.
“It's been a number of years since I bought adidas...do they run true to size?|[P.S. as reference, I have to 'size up' when I buy New Balance. I normally buy 11's and have to go to a 12.]”
According to our fit models these shoes are running true to size and width.
