Quality materials and great look. By Adventure Capitalist from Sydney, Australia on 02/10/2010 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought the CG Tofino after researching the scores of waterproof, breathable jackets on the market. Plan to wear it during a 100km wilderness race in low mountain terrain with temperatures ranging from 0 - 15 celcius. The bonus is that it is smart enough to wear as a casual winter jacket. Note that the bomber cut might be too short for boarding.
By Famous A from British Columbia, Canada. on 01/04/2010 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This Jacket is solid! Very durable and I love the material. It is seamless against the rain and wind. I am tall and slender and the medium fit my arms great and was long enough. I don't think I will ever have to buy new rain gear for a long time.
By Jakub from New Haven, CT on 03/18/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Windproof Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Casual Wear, Skiing/Snowboarding, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket has the best the outdoor market has to offer like waterproof RiRi zippers or c_change membrane. A few improvements would make it a steal for this price: the drawcord on the hood and waist is a bit weak for the tough artic shell nylon, a chin protector for the zipper, anatomic elbows, or better sealing of the pocket zippers (they may be waterproof, but when zipped up the pocket is not fully protected from the top). Also, the shell material feels a bit rigid like a hard canvas. Given that other comparable jackets retail for much more, I would probably still recommend it, although this jacket is more suitable for walking around town than skiing.
