They are long and floppy when the snowshoe is tightened on boot. They tend to come loose.

We strapped them on and took off for a mile hike to an old ski resort carrying our snowboards. At the top of the slopes we put the snowshoes in our backpacks strapped on our boards and rode down the hill. We put on our snowshoes and hiked the 1000 vertical feet back out.... Then we did it again! This would nor have been possible without these snowshoes.... They ROCK!
