Very nice jeans. They fit well and of the Agave styles these have a slim fit. They are distressed and as another reviewer pointed out these tend to have the back pockets distressed.

Agave denim make fine stuff. These jeans are nice in what I would call a straight leg fit. Not skinny legs, but not relaxed or boot cut either.

very well made, fit is like the older USA-made 501s (especially in the thighs).

Be careful when buying Agave denim. The Gringo's ride lower on the waist, have a slightly narrower leg opening, and have a much slimmer cut through the leg area than the Waterman's. Both are virtually identical in sizing in the waist. If you wear a 33 in the Waterman, you should order a 33 in the Gringo. The Capistrano wash is cut a little slimmer than some other Agave washes, but I like a very slim pair of jeans occasionally, and these are perfect! Also, bear in mind that "vintage" in Agave language means that there are likely to be a few places in the fabric that have been sanded through. Here, it's likely to be on one of the back pockets. I have been buying more Gringos than Watermans lately, which are my two favorite Agave "fits." Gringo for tight and slim which looks great with shirts untucked, Waterman for a looser fit that rides high on the hips and looks great with shirts tucked in. I have two pairs of the Capistrano Gringo's. I love 'em.
