Ahnu Lodi Mid WB Trail Shoes - Waterproof, Insulated (For Men)

This is a generally pretty good boot. It seems a bit narrow for my feet and one of the laces snapped the second time I wore them.

This is a pretty good looking shoe...I had two main problems with them...1. Rub the heck out of my ankles 2. Lacing system is goofy and constantly had to re-tighten...Sent them back [...]

Rubber features have started to tear/come off within 1 month of local hiking and city walking use. They felt at least 1/2 size too small as well, so beware when ordering. The shoe-lace-keeper that seems nice at first quickly falls apart (and in my case a few of the parts disappeared). Has some nice features, and then some awful features too, hard to balance those out in my opinion.

I use for snow blowing & casual wear when going out in snow. I like the toggle laces since I have a slight handicap. Took the advice from others who rated these boots & bought 1/2 size larger. Fit is good & easy to put on. Traction is good.

This shoe does the job, but does not exceed expectations. It seems to be warm enough. The comfort is just O.K., maybe some foot inserts will help. It seems to be made well. I had to exchange for a half size larger as well. I would not pay full retail value ( I guess thats why we buy from Sierra)

I'm a mens size 7. After a while of wearing, the shoe tends to rub against the top of the big toes. I was thinking about an exchange for 1/2 size larger but it's not in stock. I really like the shoe so I'm going to trim off an area of the foot-cushion - in the toe area which should give me the correct toe-room and full comfort I need.

The lacing system is bogus; it pulled apart fist time I tried to snug the boots. Also, the laces were too short. I'm very handy, but could not repair the system. I finally just added regular long boot laces.

I checked customer reviews before ordering, specifically for sizing comments, but as a new product, there weren't any postings. Unfortunate, because i ordered my regular size and had to return them - way too tight! Order at least a half size larger, maybe a full size if you plan to wear heavy socks. The entire shoe is well insulated, so this padding may compress over time and loosen up, but very tight initially. Otherwise a comfortable and stylish shoe for day use.

I tend to wear hiking shoes every day, so I'll know more how these hold up, comfort, waterproofing, etc as time passes. But in the first two weeks I love them. Especially like the easy lacing system.
