From the reviews it seems like you either love these boots because they fit, or you don't like them because they feel a bitt too tight. They fit me, and so I love 'em. My size 11.5 feet are on the trimmer side, so if you are like me, have no fear. If you have "stout" feet, look elsewhere. Very solid boot, on the stiffer side for heavier hiking. Slightly higher ankle coverage than some boots. Comfortable without break-in. Good materials, well designed.

Having worn three or four brands of boots over the years I will say that, for me, AKU's are so far superior that I don't think I'll ever wear another brand again. The Suiterra's offer the perfect combination of weight, stability, comfort, style and function. The care that goes in to making these handmade boots is obvious and I wouldn't hesitate to reccommend these to any serious hiker. The fact that they were Backpacker Mag's "Most Versatile Boot" choice for 2011, and are being offered on STP at a ridiculously low price for what you get, should make you pull the trigger if you're looking for a boot that delivers on every level.

the toe box and forefoot part looks narrow, but actually with lacing tricks it opened up and feels comfortable with my medium width feet. the insoles are uppers appear to be good quality and durable. they seem to breath well, yet feel like a warm boot. good looking boot!

Boots were recommended by phone attendant and it was a good recommendation. The boots are a little large so I can wear several pairs of socks in them. I have been wearing them while working all day and they are comfortable.
