    I bought these for my girlfriend and she loves them. I have a pair of all leather AKU's from STP and love them. She has been putting them throught the paces around Ely, MN this summer and cannot say anough about how happy she is with them.

    Love the look of the boot, as well as the fit. Nice arch support, fits perfectly (true to size) with enough room for heavier hiking socks. Comes up higher on the ankle than some other boots I have, so it took a little getting used to. But it is nice to have the extra ankle support. Very good boots, especially for the price!

    I bought these for our daughter who is taking them to the Artic (Svalbard) to do some climatology research on a glacier. She will be on very slippery and uneven terrain and it will be wet and cold. It looks like these will do the trick. She is breaking them in now since blisters on a 4 hour hike in the middle of nowhere are no fun. They seem a little large but may still work with layers of socks.
