“Went on my first every overnight backpacking trip. Had to cross water multiple times and slosh through lots of mud. Also handled hilly and rocky conditions well. As long as the water didn't come over my boot, my socks and feet stayed dry and comfortable. Other than trying on the boots several times, never did get to break them in before the hike. Hiked 10 miles in two days and never got a blister. A little sore around the ankles but I'm not used to wearing any types of shoes over the ankles. The boots cleaned up nicely too. I thought it was a great pair of boots for a very reasonable price. Will be trying them in Yosemite this summer. Only gripe is that the laces were shorter than I would like but I didn't change them.”
