AKU-USA Utah Gore-Tex® Backpacking Boots - Waterproof (For Men)

I can't say enought good things about this boot! I do a bunch a hiking in all kinds of terrain - rock, stream, river, mud, - you name it, I have gone through it with these boots. Only after ten years of the rugged abuse that I have given these boots, are they showing an wear (in the heel). They are still waterproof & keep my feet dry and warm. AWESOME, AWESOME boot

I got these boots used at an outdoor consignment shop, having no idea how awesome they would be. Perfect fit for my very flat feet. I tend to like wider toe boxes and these are also perfect for that. I am a woman and have never liked women's shoes. Almost completely waterproof, though after 5 days of rain and slush, moisture did get through. They respond well to leather waterproofing treatment. I have no idea how long they were used before I got them, but they're going strong after 4 years of my abuse. Just a little leather/sole separation at the toe.

I've had these boots for 3 years since getting them for [$] st STP. They are made of one-piece leather and the Gore-tex lining - with regular application of wax to the leather, these boots have kept my feet dry in winter snow and crossing streams. They take a few hikes to wear in (using leather conditioner helps soften it), so don't take them on an expedition out of the box. But after this, they are great. My feet are wider than normal and they are snug in these on shorter hikes, but they do ache a little at the widest parts after longer day hikes 9I suggest Asolo boots if you have wider feet). Good ankle support. The soles are long lasting.

I actually purchased these mens boots for my teenage daughter who is off on multiple week back-packing trips this summer- they fit her perfectly. might be a bit much for day-to-day casual wear, but for serious hiking / mountaineering, they're great.

Really liked this boot. Too bad! Wasn't able to use it becuse the front of my foot is too wide. This would be a great shoe for a normal to narrow foot. The shoe seems to fit about a half size smaller then I expected.
