“I bought the 9wt version of this rod for a back-up on a recent trip to Mexico. Fortunately I also bought along a St.Croix because the Albright's tip broke off during our first ride into the mangroves. Best I can tell, the vibrations from the boat (panga) broke the rod tip. The St. Croix and a Sage (both stored alongside the Albright) made it without issue. Never even got to cast it on water, but from land seemed a bit stiff.”
