5.0 out of 5 stars. NiceVerified Buyer Reviewed by Kim from Wisconsin on Wednesday, August 1, 2018I have only hiked a couple of times in these but they feel great right off the bat. I'm looking forward to having leather boots again.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Good solid bootVerified Buyer Reviewed by jjduncan from Alberta on Wednesday, June 13, 2018I bought this boot because I have a pair of Alico cross country boots that fit me well(size 5). These boots didn’t disappoint me and fit. They will take a while to “break in” because they are stiff. But my initial impression is that they are comfortable and the fit is excellent. I would recommend them especially if you have a small foot.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Very stiff but good qualityVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from San Diego on Tuesday, March 27, 2018I had been told these boots take a while to break in, but once they do, they form really well to your feet; a bit too stiff for my liking. The soles are extremely sturdy with great tread, but again if you’re looking for a boot to wear right away these might not be the best choice.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Held up great canyoneering!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Izzy the canyon hiker from Idaho on Sunday, March 18, 2018These boots are great for people with narrow feet. I didn't have a lot of time to break them in before our hiking trip to Utah but they were pretty comfortable to wear and I was the only one who didn't get blisters. I had to adjust one of the tongs a little bit because it was pushing on my ankle bone on our second hike. But it wasn't an issue on our third. They got scuffed up in the narrow canyons but held up great otherwise. I'm going to apply special leather oil with beeswax to them again to condition.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Toe leather softVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Wyoming on Saturday, November 25, 2017Pretty good boots with good traction. I had to exchange my usual size 7 for 7.5 because the 7 felt short. The 7.5 has plenty of room so I replaced the insoles with athletics for better support. I got hot spots on each heel from the first hike but I think the boots will break in okay. The leather collar is heavenly and the boots will repel grass seed, but the leather on the toes is very susceptible to damage, not just scuffing. They will be okay for field boots but I suspect the uppers will wear out sooner than the treads.

5.0 out of 5 stars. GreatReviewed by KC1 from Colorado on Saturday, August 12, 2017Took these on their first real hike and loved them. Break in period is short. Great grip on shale on the way to the top of the mountain. Leather does scuff easily but very easily fixed. Love the old school leather as its heavier but provides better support. Overall great product and true to size.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Boot wonderVerified Buyer Reviewed by R. Campbell from New york on Wednesday, May 3, 2017This is a well made hiking boot, good material and craftsmanship. the right boot was to short for my foot. Left and right boot are the same size, so my right is a little longer. However I measured the boot to another Italian made boot and this boot was1/2 inche shorter. Not everyone will have this problem. I hated to return them, because if they had fit they would have been very comfortable. nice price.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Good DesignVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Takoma Park, MD on Thursday, April 13, 2017My current pair of Asolo boots are remarkable, but these boots are much lighter and easier to wear because they have just one layer of very nice leather with backing (as opposed to many layers of varied fabrics) and supportive souls. They are slightly stiff, but I'm sure will wear nicely as time passes, leather always does. Good value.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great Boots, but...Verified Buyer Reviewed by SavvyShopper from San Jose on Thursday, February 16, 2017These were beautifully crafted but the right boot felt a1/2 size shorter. Walking was fine, but I know this boot would have killed my toes going downhill. I wear a w-10 and European boots and shoes only go to w-42, I guess I need a 42-1/2. Trying another brand.
