I live 100' from National Forest so put on alot of miles on my boots. I have had EVERY brand of boot out there and there are only 2 that come close to these. My Kayland Apex XT's and the boots these are replacing which are Kinney Colorado's made in about 1985. Break in isn't bad if you wear some sock liners and heavy socks (I wear Alpaca due to frost bitten toes), I was able to go 10hrs the first day with no issues but I also came from the Kayland's and Colorado's not athletic shoes. I had all but given up on finding another pair of boots that would last me when I found these. The best the major boot makers offered I completely wore out, bald soles, torn lace eyes and sole peeling off in about 3 months or less. I have every hope these will last me as long as the Colorado's (25yrs) and that was daily wear as these will be also. Thank you Sierra Trading Post for offering something other than the cheap weekend warrior boots everyone else sells.
