The Alico Trilogy is Complete!!!

I previously purchased a pair of Alico Tahoes & Alico Summits last year and haved used both of them regularly with no major problems. Also just bought another pair of Tahoes (of a different color) since I use these daily for work. I finally ordered... after much research... a pair of the Alico Guides just to complete the Alico Trilogy (Tahoe, Summit & Guide) shoe line of hiking shoes. When I first opened the box... I immediately recalled the pair of Vasque Legends that I purchased many years ago and which took about 6 months to fully break in to a level of comfort. These Guides are exactly the same, but a lot more better made in terms of overall quality. Like I first did with the Vasque Legends... I soaked up the Guides with warm water first and then wore the boot the entire day to mold the boot to my foot as it dried out. It has been about full week of alternating daily wear so far and though it will take a few more months of faithful use... I know these Guides will be just as comfortable as the Vasque Legends, which I still use when I know I need something reliable.
For now, I am using the Tahoes for daily/recreational use, the Summits for weekend scouting hikes/activities with the boys... and now getting these Guides ready for our BSA Philmont Scout Ranch (N.M.) 12-day trek next summer. Only now need a pair of Alico "dress shoes" for formal use so that my wife doesn't grumble... Hah!!!
Again... I have completed (and experienced) the Alico Trilogy!
Aloha to all from the 50th State!
