supported a broken ankle!

I didn't need a boot this heavy duty but I loved the classic mountaineering look about them. On an overnnight hiking trip I fell at night wearing rubber flip flops breaking my ankle and spraining my other knee. I had to hike out three miles over rugged terrain with a backpack the next day. I don't know how I would have made it without the rigid support these boots gave me. I'm now wearing them every day until I can walk normally again. I love them!
