    These boots don't need a whole lot of breaking in for rock hopping. Cinch them tight and they are amazing with medium weight self-wicking hiking socks. These suckers edge like a champ on 1/4-inch edges, and keep your ankles well-supported while traversing rugged and broken terrain. They are especially nice on dirt trails as their stiffness assists in the forward motion of the foot. Because of this, the weight is almost negligible. If you are addicted to light-weight molded sole hiking boots, these things will seem like tanks. But trust me, once you are used to these, you will never go back! AND they are re-soleable!

    Like they used to make boots back in the 60's. Amazing leather and quality. Re-solable Vibrams. Will take a while to break in. If your on the fragile side forget it. They will break your feet before you break them in. But once its done they'll be like wearing gloves.
