“Boots purchased for extended walking. When they arrived I told my flatmate that these are the best boot currently in Australia, though they are not available in Oz. I am yet to see a better pair of boot, although some of the top of the range Scarpa may compete, but the price I paid was far less than top of range Scarpa. They are a gun pair of boot; shock, rock and jock proof. They fit perfectly and with a short walk you soon adjust your gate to the stiff metal shank. Although all shall be revealed in my next extended walk. Alico emailed the following care instructions. 1) Remove dirty from the boots using a moist or brush 2) Leave to dry slowly at room temperature 3) After contact with chemical products or organic substances, wash immediately with water. 4) Don't expose the boots to heat sources or direcet sunlight. 5) Cleaning: brush and waterproof polish 6) We recommend silicone treatment for waterproofness. If you use grease you open porosity of the leather, it means that leather become more soft but less water proof. Thankyou Alico.”
