Closeouts. Nestled within the Alps, the Dolomites are known for jagged peaks and deep crevasses that have challenged the climber's craft for centuries. The Summit from Alico was handcrafted by artisans in this awe-inspiring region. Its one-piece oil-tanned leather upper was made to explore the tough terrain of rugged landscapes. Soft leather interior and moisture-wicking insole reduces friction and blisters.

I really wanted the Alico Summit boots, but they were just too wide. They were marked as medium width, but i think they are mis-labeled. I ordered a pair of Alico Tahoe in the same size and the medium width was perfect.

fantastic boots, took only one day of continouse walking around town and the beach to become pretty comfortable. I had a hot spot on my heal the first day but it seemed to feel much better the more i wore the boots. I added an extra pair of old insoles because the boots insoles were too thin and marginal by themselves. Very well made and good to have on your feet!

Just wore out my 7 year old Vasque Sundowners and was looking for an all leather replacement. I've had the Alico Summits for about a month, and they are a great replacement. I have a really wide foot, and they have a true EE feel to them. I did not find the break in period to be long as others have. I wear them almost every day here on the farm and looks like they will hold up well.

This is just that classic hiking boot, all leather that will last many sets of sole. That was what I wanted, and they fit the bill perfect. I have logged many miles in the 2 years I have had them now. They did take quite the break in. The biggest issue with these boots is the fit. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BUYING AT LEAST 2 PAIRS OF DIFFERENT SIZES! Get the 2 sizes that you think would work, and then keep the one that fits and send the other back. There is alot of room in the boot. I have found that it took a little configuring to get the best fit. Playing with insoles and sock combinations. Once you figure it out, life will be good.

I ordered the boot a half size larger and was rewarded with a perfect fit. Tired of seeing sneakers on steroids calling themselves mountaineering boots, with high price points that wear out. Purchase these and they will become one of your go to items. It is amazing that Companies can sell the public on inferior products and we buy them anyway. Lightweight is sometimes code for cheap.
