“These are well made boots. The fit is just right. I wore them around the house for the weekend before I wore them in the mountains. They are a little stiff out of the box, but not bad. They don't need much of a breakin period. I like the Summit model the best of the 3 boots STP offers. The Guides are good for sidehill walking, great ankle support, just a little much for most needs I have. The Tahoes are great around town boot, just not quite up to the Summits for long hikes and where you need more ankle support. Also Summits are leather lined where the Tahoes are not.”
