Good boots, run wide

I bought a size 8, medium, as that's what I typically wear. The boots I got were too wide and felt quite clunky, both too wide and too long (with two pairs of socks on). They seem very well made and heavy, but if you have narrow, low volume feet, you may want to look elsewhere. I scored a pair of Limmers in the same size and these fit great, so I think the Alicos are just a wider boot. I would recommend the boot, but you may want to think twice if you have narrow feet, or try a half size smaller. The insoles aren't good. With Superfeet Green the boots started to feel better but still too wide and clunky. Limmer Standards are by no means delicate boots, and yet the Alicos feel substantially more clunky and less form-fitting than the Limmers.
