Solid, simple and even kinda stylish.

I wanted to get boots that could go anywhere and would last me for a decade or more (I'm sick and tired of throw-away boots with glue-on soles). These fit the bill, and a love them more and more each time I take them for a tromple or hike. Going along steep inclines and rocky areas, they feel like I've got hooves. Sure, they're a bit heavy and stiff, but the workmanship is first class, the boots feel as solid as could be...and the look is actually growing on me.

Plan on paying for a nice set of insoles, though. The stock ones really have very little arch support, padding, or general comfort. It brings the cost up a bit, but with the markdown and the deals one can find around, the boots are really golden.
  • Arch Type: Low Arch
  • Best Uses: Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Long-Distance Hiking
  • Cons: Insole uncomfortable, Lack of arch support
  • Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational
  • Pros: Ankle Support, Classic look, Great Traction, Resoleable, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant
  • Sizing: Feels true to size
  • Was this a gift?: No
  • Width: Feels true to width
