hike hard

I needed a boot that could handle off-trail, rough terrain, with heavy loads while hunting in cold weather but still be comfortable hiking desert and mountain trails for 3-7 day trips. They're a bit hot in temps past 80F and take some breaking-in, but for an all leather super-sturdy boot it's less than I'd imagined. I do use green inserts and hike socks, but for me, they were completely comfortable after about 10 days of daily wear and 3 mile evening walks with dog...worth every hot spot! No more $200 plus purchases for 'new tech' hiking boots for me this old style well crafted boot will outlast em all. Alico and Sierra have pulled me out of the REI waiting lines. Thanks!
