Custom Quality Boot at Bargain Price

The build quality and craftsmanship is wonderful. The thick leather uppers provide great ankle support, and have thick ankle padding and heel cup to prevent slipping. The soft leather liner molds to your feet and is very comfortable. The vibram sole is thick and grabby on all surfaces.

The supplied insoles are poor and provide very little arch support. A quality insole is a MUST, but be cautious of sharp edged insoles slicing into the soft leather liner. I used Superfeet Green Insole and had to cut off the sharp edges on the heel to prevent damaging the leather liner.

The Alico Summit's are quite heavy, but that should be expected from a quality leather boot. They are quite stiff out of the box, but the half-length shank allows toe flex and do not feel like walking on boards. Break-in time is only about 4 days with everyday use. Adding a waterproofing and conditioner will soften the leather some and add to comfort. Grab a pair while available.
