Alico Tahoe Hiking Boots (For Men)

If form follows function, then these boots lead the pack. They look great, fit me perfectly, are comfy, supportive, and protective. I use them mostly as work boots so they get pretty abused 8 hours a day. Tried another brand but they wore out in 6 months. Alico's can give me 3 years worth of service under the most demanding conditions. Hopefully they will continue to be available at STP in the future.

Don't see this quality of boot at this price; others I looked at were double! Make no mistake, they require a long time to break in, but I know it will be well worth the wait. In fact, they felt so good out of the box and wearing them around for a couple days, I decided to take them for a short hike (2 miles). BIG mistake, they broke my feet in instead but that was my fault. You will have to replace the insoles, but that's normal. Get some while you still can unless you like [*] knock-offs for the same price.

Needed a backup to my old italian Vasque. Found the goto boot. Italian made. It does not get any better. Long break in.

These are my fourth pair. I have very difficult feet - flat (I use inserts), wide, tall at the toes - and these are among the only shoes out there that fit well. I wear them almost every day. Also, they can be resoled and - with good care - will last for years. If you like them, be sure to get a back-up pair; this level of quality and craftsmanship may be a thing of the past in another decade.
