We do day-long bushwalks at least once a week plus multi-day treks during school vacations. These boots were broken in in less than an hour of use, and they fit like a glove. I have wide, hard-to-fit feet, and these boots are perfect for any sort of trail conditions.

Needed to get a pair of real boots and these are really nice. Broke in pretty easily, hiked 14miles and up 4500 feet with no foot problems but my legs were sore. Need to train in them more. Hosed off the dirt with no water getting inside, so sealing the stitches seemed to work. Real leather, can be resoled.

I bought these expensive boots for my husband. He didn't tell me they were too big for his feet. He went ahead and broke them in outdoors, thus getting dirt on the soles. We probably won't be able to return them. He is not able to wear them due to the large size. Is there a way we can get a refund on them? Also, one boot came darker than the other. My husband oiled them to try to get them to match.

THESE SHOES ARE ALL LEATHER WITH AN AMAZING STABILITY. I HIKE 30 MILES A WEEK. THERE WERE A LITTLE STIFF TILL I GOT THEM BROKEN IN, BUT NOW THEY ARE LIKE WALKING ON COTTON. I LOVE THEM, THE CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS A NUMBER 1 FOR SERVICE. THANK YOU AND I WILL CONTINUE TO SHOP ON LINE WITH SIERRA TRADING POST FOR MY FUTURE SHOES.

I use the boots during the winter at work (office)and moderate winter hiking in rain and snow. They're comfortable and stable on rocky trails and moderately steep hikes. They are light and breathe well, even during warm weather. The half steel shank is a little stiff for everyday urban terrain (sidewalks and streets). Timeless desgin, I expect to use them for over 20 years, anticipating a resole or two.

Beautiful boots. Bought a wide and glad I did since they seem narrow in the toe box. Stiff at first but every day they get better and better

Good traditional leather boot, that has different widths. The wide, has a nice "squarish" toebox. For a traditional leather boot, they were fairly comfortable for a 6-8 mile hike with no breakin. OK for snowshoing, but not as warm as some of my other all leather boots.
