Bottom Line:

“I used this pair of boots for the first time on a 4 day mountaineering trip. I did not break it in and had no issues. My pack was probably 40 pounds. I went through creek and snow and had minimal/no water seepage. The only dampness was probably the snow that fell in from the tongue. I wear between a size 7 - 7 1/2. From the recommendations some say that I should get a 1/2 size bigger. I got an 8 and was too big so I swap it for 7 1/2. It is a little too big but it was OK as I was wearing thick wool socks. I recommended a pair to my friend and 2 of my hiking friends have Alico and love them.”
