I have been amazed and delighted with the comfort of this chair. I thought I might have trouble adjusting to two legs. So far, so good! Just don't lean too far back. Otherwise, this chair's light weight and easy set-up surely beat sitting on gravel anthills on the side of a lake. I keep it in my kayak hatch. I also went to the Alite web site. If the fabric part ever needs replacement, they sell the fabric part separately. Truly a worthwhile product.

I ordered the Monarch and its sister chair the Mayfly to compare. Hands down the Mayfly is a more substantial and easy sitting chair. We plan to use the chairs for concerts and camping rather than backpacking....so the weight was not a huge concern. The Monarch would be a great little chair for backpacking.

I am very pleased with my new camp chair. This is a purchase that was made with backpacking in mind and it has met all expectations. The compact size makes it easy to travel with and the quick set up and great design makes it easy to use. I love the two leg design! I can bring this anywhere and be comfortable!

This is a perfect Canoe camping chair when space is limited, better than sitting on rocks, and is very small and lite.

I didn't realize this chair came apart (almost like a tent). It has poles with strings running through and you pop it together, then put the poles in the 4 slots (one in each corner)

Definitely folds up small and light, so you could throw it in your bag.

I haven't used it too much yet, so I'll see if I get used to the rocking and balancing.

I already own one of these chairs, they are great for backpacking and kayak camping. A learning curve on using, but once mastered its great. You can rock in it, sits on uneven ground and is great for using a backpack stove, because you are low to the ground and can just lean forward to operate your stove. Comes in nice stuff sack. Mine will fit in the water bottle holder of a ULA Circuit Backpack with ease. Highly recommend. I just picked this one up for an extra.
