Allen-Edmonds Evans Shoes - Lace-Ups (For Men)

These are comfortable, good-looking shoes that go well with chinos or jeans, but -- alas -- the right blown-rubber sole has an air leak somewhere, so that the shoe squeals loudly with every step. It's almost embarrassing! Though the defective sole might cause angry glances if you walked into a library, you wouldn't notice the squeak on a bustling city street (or if you're hard of hearing). Love the shoe, hate the defect, debating whether to return them. I suspect the defect isn't common.

I was looking for a pair of high quality and comfortable dress shoes. These have almost a sneaker style and are quite classy and comfortable. They look like they will wear well, but it's too early to tell for sure. If they wear as well as I expect, I'd up the rating to 5 star. All in all, they are just what I was looking for.

when I first got them, I thought these were the most elegant bowling shoes ever created (not a dig at all, more a reflection on shape=long and lean, comfy soft leather with plenty of space to move toes around--i.e, can't have really tight fit if you're bowling, and funky cool shoe laces)...got the tan color, is definitely elegant enough to wear at work except in the most stuffiest of settings (e.g., a law firm perhaps)...best uses I can imagine are whole day combination walking, outdoor, sitting, etc. activities (e.g., sporting events, travel)...exceptional value, you will both impress and feel good wearing these shoes.

After searching many weeks for a pair of retro looking bike shoes I came across these Evans shoes. I was ready to pay $250 for a pair of Dromarti retro cycling shoes then I saw these at STP for a third the price. I jumped on it- use them to ride my bike to work and no need change shoes- comfortable and stylish

Odd design for a high-end shoe. When it first arrived I thought I would hate it. Light-weight and style grew on me quickly. Sole is an unusual shape, takes some getting used to but I work on my feet and love these.

Have to send them back right away. Too wide in the front, heel did not want to stay inside. Uncomfortable

I'm sure it's a good shoe if it fits and you prefer burgundy to the dark brown advertized. Not what I thought I was going to get, so I returned them. Too bad, really- they looked great..!

Great for everyday office wear. I'm on the move all day and these shoes keep my feet and legs feeling fresh all day.
