    I have a metal allergy so wearing belts with any type of metal buckle breaks me out. I was so glad to find this belt! No more break outs and I have started using it as my daily belt. I don't tuck my shirt in so for me the site of the buckle/web belt doesn't bother me. I would like to see a flatter buckle but so far the size hasn't bothered me.

    Allen ankle gaiters do keep pant legs from riding up and and they do hold socks in place. They are ideal for walking through brush and snow, and casual hiking. They are also great for biking, if you are a commuter. They just keep everything in place in a very inexpensive way. We now have four pairs, which I picked up at a special STP sale price!! I keep these in my car, and we have the rest at home for general use, just in case. Very handy item.

Mostly, to keep snow out of our socks, shoes and boots. They are very practical and versatile.
