    Sierra Trading Post is off base when they reference "trail" in their description. This is not a TRAIL shoe. It's a WALKING shoe. Mephisto's own brochure that accompanied the shoes refers to the Aeon as "Coutour Walk". Too light weight for hiking or trail...Good walking shoe for neighborhood or mall!

    Not a rigid or sturdy shoe comparable to usual Mephisto construction. More like a mocassin with laces and nub sole. Follow the down-sizing instructions, even if you normally wear 1/2 size smaller in Mephisto shoes.
