5.0 out of 5 stars. Great fitVerified Buyer Reviewed by Chippewa Lake Girl from Michigan on Sunday, April 1, 2018I have another pair of these boots and the reason I like them is the Velcro strap across the ankle. It makes all the difference in keeping the boot tight to my foot. I cross country ski over all types of terrain and these are perfect for that.

4.0 out of 5 stars. This is my second pairVerified Buyer Reviewed by Monica from Colorado on Sunday, March 4, 2018I will put 5 stars but in a little while when I'll be 100% sure that I don't have humidity coming to my socks.
I got this boots because I had my old ones, exactly like this one in blue, for five years and I had experienced, by the end of their journey, when the spring came, some water wet my socks. Anyway this are the more comfortable cross country ski ever from the first day I put it on. I also have a bunion in my right feet and because the laces you can adjust the boot exactly as you wish. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. ski bootVerified Buyer Reviewed by Miner Dave from Yellowstone Natl park on Wednesday, January 18, 2017The boots were warm and kept my feet dry. Temperatures down to 0 F. I had the same problem noted by several people of blisters on the top of the big toe if I wore a heavy sox.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Good boots!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Tahoe on Monday, April 11, 2016My husband and I just bought cross country ski gear and these Alpina boots fit the bill. They are warm and comfortable and they were affordable on sale. I had to exchange the size. I wear a women's 10 and ordered the 42's. The boots are hard to tighten and my heel slipped a bit much. The 41's are better. I shopped around and found these to be the best quality and value.

2.0 out of 5 stars. disappointedReviewed by Anonymous from breckenridge on Friday, February 20, 2015First, let me say these didn't fit my feet. But that's not the reason for 2 stars.
the boots seem solidly built, and resist torsional movement. However, the way Alpina designed the tongue and laces result in it being nearly impossible to compress the boot anywhere other than at the ankle. No matter how hard you pull the laces, it will not tighten the boot across the ball/arch. In addition, the tongue material is so thin that any pressure here translates relatively unimpeded to the front of your ankle. I was hoping that during a ski the tension on the upper part of the laces would gradually tighten the lower laces. I was wrong, all I ended up with was pain in the ankle where the laces were too tight. Sorry, but headed back for a return. -
