    The Alpina Redbirds are the perfect backcountry ski for the midwest on any type of terrain. Groomed trails to hard pack snowmobile trails to breaking your own trails. Metal edges work great on icy terrain. This fast ski does it all. Skis are a little longer for quick tele-style stops. For more hilly terrain with trees the Alpina Discovey might be better suited. Loved them so much I bought a second pair at such a great price. All said, the Redbirds are awesome.
