I bought these boots in conjunction with the Rottefella NIS T4 Touring bindings and Rossignol X-Tour Escape Classic skis. The boots fit true to size, the triple entry system (laces, zippered cover, and ankle brace/strap) takes a few minutes to get freed up, entered and re-fastened, but is comfortable once in place. The zippered cover over the laces is great, keeps the laces dry, and keeps warmth in as well.

On my first day out in them doing about five miles or so, I did develop a slight pinch on my left foot where the boot was bending with my motion, but I think that is part of the break-in process with these, so I'm sure that will improve next time out, and probably won't be and issue by ski # 3.

I chose Alpina knowing the "toe box" is wider than other brands. This style gives the extra support to the ankle that I need if I am doing icey hills or doing what I call "skassic" skiing---my version of skate skiing with classic skis.
