    I'd like to have kept this vest because the colors and design would have worked well with pants, jeans and skirts. But it was too long for me (I'm 5' 1" and like a vest that only comes a little below my waist). I might have kept it anyway, but the rolled, rib-knit hem was stiff and narrower than the body of the vest, so I couldn't pull the vest down smoothly over my hips. Since the fabric is on the thick side, the result was bunchy look.

    I ordered this vest and the matching mock turtle and got compliments the very first day I wore them. The blue in the vest goes well with blue eyes. The weight of the vest is just perfect for a little extra warmth when trapped in a drafty room or near an outside door that keeps opening and closing. And the knit is tiny enough not to add much volume to one's figure.
