I bought two of these for a March camp-out in Nebraska and the wind was howling with single digit wind chill, yet the bags were warm. Length should be adequate to about 6'4" by my estimate. However, be aware that the girth of this bag is a bit snug. I wear a 44 inch jacket and can barely cross my ...

First off, let me say the two stars is not for the actual Alps Mountaineering -20F Echo Lake long sleeping bag. The Alps Mountaineering products I purchased in the past were nice quality and I assume for the money, this sleeping bag would fit that category too. My two star rating is more for STP customer service dropping the ball with this order which I believe was filled by another vendor. Basically I received the wrong merchandise and was charged a return service charge of $6.95 by STP. I was shipped a 20F Echo Lake sleeping bag which represents a 40 degree difference from the advertised product. I confirmed with Alps Mountaineering customer service (quick, friendly, professional response via email) that I did not receive the correct merchandise. I thought it was fishy when the shipped sleeping bag was labeled as Echo Lake 20 long with a fill weight of only 44 ounces... In any event, if you purchase the Alps Mountaineering -20F Echo Lake sleeping bag, you should ensure your fill weight for the -20 long is 100oz. Otherwise, you suffered the same fate as myself. Also, I believe the sleeping bag picture depicts -20 for the front embroidery whereas mine just had Echo Lake 20. To provide full disclosure, STP customer service sent me a canned text apology with a $20 eDeals card for the problem. However, that is not satisfactory as I would have preferred a full refund versus having to purchase more items from STP to offset my purchase experience. Finally, when I inquired about the return service charge via email, STP customer service never followed up with me. To make matters worse, I had 3 consecutive orders that were messed up due to wrong items being shipped. I would have not even bothered with this bad review had STP customer service followed up with me and corrected this matter. I have continued to do business with STP but if I run into this type of issue again, I will not. I understand people make mistakes but customers should not be penalized (charged) for STP mistakes.

The bag seems well made, especially for the cheap closeout price. It is very soft and cushy, very thick. It is also bulky, like the old 1960's family bags that we had when I was a kid. Not a back packing bag, but a good family camper.

good buy for the money. definitely not for backpacking. even in a compression stuff sack it is the LARGEST sleeping bag I have ever owned. bought for my son for winter camping trips with scouts. very warm but lacks some key features like a draft collar.

Serious wind stop protects zipper. Nice and roomy for a mummy bag. Zipper is a little cumbersome, but works well enough when you pull with both outside and inside zipper pulls. I used it in calm 40 degree weather and it kept me nice and warm wearing only PJs. Probably would need a few layers to be comfortable in -20 degrees.

It arrived a week ago and I dont know how the polyester will compare to a (much) more expensive insulation like down in terms of warmth or durability, but this thing is warm and thick. It is at least twice as thick as my 0 degree sleeping bag. Zippers and drawstrings all seem decent quality. Very glad to have gotten a winter weight sleeping bag for this price.
This is more of a comfort rating and you should always error on the side of caution and if you want a bag for that temp go for the next temp range. Each person is different with regards to how they respond to weather conditions so they cannot pin point it to an exact temperature.||Please refer to our shipping chart regarding international shipping questions:|http://www.sierratradingpost.com/lp2/InternationalShipping.html
