Got this on a super Sierra deal coupon so the price was awesome. For the money this is a well constructed bag and at this price is a really good value. A huge step up from cheapie Walmart junk. It lacks some features of a pricier brand of course. Good insulation but not as compressible as the more expensive premium synthetics. Most missed is a zipper guard. Have to tell the girls to be careful of the draft tubes so it doesn't get snagged when zipping up. As other have mentioned this bag seems a little short. Fine for my preteen girls, but we bought a long version as well for the older ones, and would recommend Adults order the long version as well.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of these bags. I bought two for my two kids at a great discount here on STP. They are WARM, thick and hearty with a large, quality zipper and cinch. Zipper has a nice Velcro flap to cover it once bag is closed. Seams and stitching all look solid. Love the burnt orange color. Great size for two growing boys up to an average-sized adult. Tall folks should look elsewhere. These look and feel great for our purposes (car camping). One note: you have to roll them TIGHT to get them back in the stuff bag. Would definitely recommend!

This is actually a great sleeping bag for car camping, but too bulky for backpacking. It took up almost half the interior space of my pack. Too large to strap to exterior of pack. I would've kept it for car camping if I didn't already have other sleeping bags for that use.
I couldn't tell you for sure exactly what type it would need, but it doesn't compress that much so you'd need a pretty big one. The overa size in the sack that comes with it is about the size of a basketball.

I purchased the Alps Mountaineering Medium compression sack, it works great!!! I stuff my bag down in it instead of rolling it up and putting it in the stuff sack. It compresses down nice.

Customer care didn't answer your question so I will...||Using the Medium sized Alps Cyclone compression sack I get it down to 7"x16". ||For what it's worth... The Alps Cyclone series are the best compression sacks available because unlike most, they compress in 2 directions.
