This thing it great if you're packing a lot of fluffy gear. It held my sleeping bag, thermarest pad, thermarest pillow, a small down blanket, a stocking cap and a fleece, and I still had a little room. It compressed easily and fit into my pack snuggly. Make sure that when you put this in to your pack, you have the handle side pointing out. This will allow you to pull it out of your pack easily.

Next summer will use this to pack bulky coats, sweaters and other cold weather clothing while traveling in cooler high elevation western states. Probably most of the clothing will never leave the bag. But just in case we get caught in another Wyoming snow storm it will be handy to have everything in one convenient place.

I have a store bought coleman sleeping bag. The stuff sack is not quite long enough to accomodate the bag...other than that it's great!

The compression sack in short holds a bunch of stuff. It fits my 0 deg Alps Mummy bag, weekend clothes, and I am pretty sure it would hold a small family. Seriously Alps makes good stuff.

I bought a 4 man tent at a yard sale. I'm using the ALPS Mountaineering Compression Stuff Sack to store the tent. I could have compressed the tent even more except for the tent poles. This compression sack can easily compress most items made out of fabric.

I needed a bag for my sleeping bag. I like the way it compresses. It is good material and there is room for extra clothing.

Was able to pack all night gear in it with room to spare. If not full it is hard to cinch up. I do like it and hope it will travel good.
