It takes my Marmot Echo Lake 20 degree bag and compresses it down much more (at least 3-5 inches) more than I could with the sack it came in. The only reason I didn't give this a 5/5 was because I have a feeling that the plastic cinch straps on the side could break after extended periods of use after multiple tightenings, but that hasn't happened yet.
