ALPS Mountaineering Compression Stuff Sack - Large

Haven't used it yet but tried it on a mummy sleeping bag and was able to get it to about half it's normal size!

I purchased this product to compress my polyfill sleeping bag for a 10 day backpacking trip on the John Muir Trail. The bag size options offer more volume than other brands. Very useful for making room for other essentials.

Bottom line for me is that this is the overall best designed compression sack I've come across. I bought two more recently just to make sure I have enough.

-Purchased a new sleeping bag which was quite a bit larger than anticipated... this sack compressed it 300-400% and appears very strong. -For certain applications I notice there are different shapes and sizes availble... I would recomend getting a variety, especially if you have limited space varying shapes/sizes make packing much easier. -I have used the sack in favorable conditions, but have yet to "put it through the ringer" although I am sure it will hold up fine. Great sack, very strong seams.

Compressed sleeping bag alot.. with room to spare.. appears very strong.. sleeping bag ordered was larger than I had imagined.. but this sack will allow me to make due.

Well made strong seams. Bought to hold bulky sleepings bags on motorcycle trips. I was able to compress 1/3 of the volume out of the bag. I would not recommend for backpacking if weight is a concern. You can stuff lots of clothing into this bag just don't expect things to remain wrinkle free. Overall, a good investment if you need a compression sack.

Holds my sleeping bag and tent, easy to pick up and put in the back of the Jeep. Room left over for clothes and extras. Looks like it will last a long time.

This compression bag was just what I was looking for. I have a Big Agnes "Hog Park" sleeping bag. It fits nicely into the sack and then compresses down to 1/2 the size. The construction of the sack seems to be durable. Time will tell, but I am happy with the product. I will be testing it soon in the Bob Marshall Wilderness!
