“These compression sacks are really too heavy and bulky for backpacking/mountaineering use. They may be nice for car camping or maybe kayak/canoe trips (although they are not dry sacks). They have a zip pocket in the lid of one, which may be handy but makes these even less compressible! They seem very sturdy though...probably less prone to tear than the very light ones.”
