ALPS Mountaineering Director's Chair

I purchased one of these chairs in the hope that it would look good enough to use for an extra chair when we had company. I live in an apartment without a lot of floor or closet space and wanted a chair that could double as guest seating in the living room and an extra chair for the dining table. I also needed one that folded up compactly for storage. This one worked so well, I ordered a second. The color is neutral so it blends in well. It's also light-weight so it can be (and is) moved around easily. The chairs fit perfectly around a card table and are an attractive alternative to a traditional folding chair.

The nicest thing is this chair is roomy enough for larger people. I also like the fact that you can sit up straight. For those of us with painful backs, reclining is not a good option.

Great for country auctions this summer...lightweight and sturdy

This chair is seems well built and opens firmly. I think it will last. My only complaint is the back needs to be taller. I am going to cut some pieces from an old chair I have and extend the supports to raise the back. It will be great then.

Easy to get up and down from seat.

Really comfy. Better than my Lafuma chair. On the lighter side of the 7 lbs stated. I want another one.

Good for spectator sports. Not for hiking, too big

chair is sturdy and 'sits well.' have discarded many wimpy ones, and this one is a keeper!
