Once you get the straps for the footrest and the armrests adjusted, this is a very comfy chair...I did alot of research before deciding on this one, and it did receive some negative reviews from people who complained it was difficult to get out of because the footrest straps are in the way. This ca... Read More

Bought one, based on the reviews, to take camping. I broke my foot and need to keep it up as much as possible. My husband sat in it after a hike and fell asleep. He liked this chair so much, I had to buy him one, too. He wants to throw out all of our other camp chairs because they aren't nearly as comfortable.

Had one for years and finally broke it. Ordered new one from Sierra Trading Post. They had the best price AND the lowest shipping. Price was about the same as others, but shipping was much less. Chair is best because it has a sling back instead of straight back which makes it much more comfortable. The product arrived at my house faster than just about anything I have ever ordered. Very happy with product and Sierra Trading Post.

Out of the box it's sturdy & well built. Very comfortable!! In fact, extremely comfortable. But don't get it near sand. We used it at the beach perhaps four times last summer (fresh water), rinsed after each use, & the joints seized up & the ends broke down to the point neither would fold flat & fit back in the bag. Eventually the foot rest broke off. Stick with the cheap box store brands, which have worked well for years & years for us & skip this one. If you don't get wet & want to use on a deck, I think it would be perfect.

I really liked this chair; yet it broke almost right away. Not able to fix.

Really like this chair. Wish the foot straps were a little longer, so my feet would be lower. Easy to set up, easy to transport, very comfortable. Easy to unhook the foot portion to use as a standard chair (with the foot rest lying on the ground).

    • Answer This is what ALPS Mountaineering has on their web site about their warranty. "ALPS Mountaineering is proud of the products we market and we work hard to make them the best we possibly can. This allows us to warrant all of our products against defects in materials or workmanship. This does not cover normal wear and tear or abuse. Here's the example we like to use, making a comparison to the auto industry, since we are all familiar with cars. If you purchase a new vehicle and the motor stops running, it will be taken care of, but tires that wear out or hoods that are dented from hitting a tree are not covered. Maybe we're too midwestern, but "common sense" really does prevail." For more follow this link. http://www.alpsmountaineering.com/alps/warranty
