Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jetty from California on Monday, February 13, 2017Love this chair. Super heavy so definitely for car camping, or just in your backyard but it's comfortable and well worth it. Easy to pack away. Seems durable.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Gregory from NYC on Monday, January 9, 2017This chair is a bit heavier than other camp chairs i've encountered, but then most camp chairs don't have the foot rest which is specifically why I bought these. I plan on using these for an outside area of my apt so the weight isn't an issue. The chair is so far comfortable and the foot rest is just right
Reviewed by Sally from Wyoming on Monday, January 9, 2017These are very comfy. I love putting my feet up. The chairs are narrow, however, with a firm ridge that hits against the underside of your lower-thigh. This funnels your legs close together, so I doubt they would be comfy for folks on the wider side. FWIW: I'm 5'9" and 150 lbs. My thin 6'1" husband also finds them comfortable. Though I've never owned an ALPS-brand chair previously, I haven't had the best of luck with the longevity of folding camp chairs, so I'm hopeful these last. I recommend using care when transporting and setting up as the black plastic footers don't look that sturdy. These do seem better made than similar type chairs at big box stores. The footrest is a huge plus. I actually have it set up in my living room right now by the fireplace. All the comforts of camping without the smoke and mosquitoes.
Reviewed by AwezomeSauce from California on Friday, December 23, 2016This is definitely a car camping chair because when it's folded up it is big and heavy. Heavier than those other basic chairs, which are fine for sitting around, but this one is for LOUNGING. I only opened it up in my living room to check for any problems, but I will use it for my upcoming xmas camping trip and hope to sit in this baby reading a book and chilling out.I will have the best chair in the campsite!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Carolyn from New Hampshire on Tuesday, September 6, 2016Footrest does unscrew from main body of the chair, which is great. Comfy and kind of a tall style chair. Heavy duty- probably will be great for longevity but not light or small as packable chairs go. Reclines back slightly for lounging- great for relaxing, though people with back problems may find that the non-rigid back is not enough support.
Question & Answer
“What is the warrenty on this product, I would like to purchase 2, one for my son and his wife for Christmas?”
This is what ALPS Mountaineering has on their web site about their warranty. "ALPS Mountaineering is proud of the products we market and we work hard to make them the best we possibly can. This allows us to warrant all of our products against defects in materials or workmanship. This does not cover normal wear and tear or abuse. Here's the example we like to use, making a comparison to the auto industry, since we are all familiar with cars. If you purchase a new vehicle and the motor stops running, it will be taken care of, but tires that wear out or hoods that are dented from hitting a tree are not covered. Maybe we're too midwestern, but "common sense" really does prevail." For more follow this link. http://www.alpsmountaineering.com/alps/warranty
