Love this cot. Get a pad with it and we'll have a great bed. I actually nap in mine regularly. You won't want to pack this cot, so get a large and enjoy.

My husband and I have set up camp on some empty country property that we own. Inside our big Kelty tent (also ordered from STP), we have set up these cots. We put thick foam pads on them and with sheets and a duvet, it's like sleeping in an outdoor hotel room. Great product.

I was pleasantly surprised by this cot. It was both remarkably easy to setup and very, very sturdy. I come in at about 290 lbs and the cot is rated for 325 lbs, so I had my doubts. But it worked beatifully for me. Best night sleep I've had camping in many years.

100+ nights and still going strong. I have seen countless shooting stars and satellites while car camping for various agencies all while often having uneven rocky ground that would be a real hassle to sent a tent up in. if you have a bivy sac and a good pad this is a safe beat an anything but a snowy windy condition. only issue it is heavy but it is for car camping not backpacking.

I bought the cot mainly for house visitors and car camping. It's easy to set up, fairly stable, and in some regards, I like it better than my 1950's army cot, primarily because it is longer. I'm 6'4" and can use a pillow on it without my feet hanging over. While it is heavy, it is still lighter than the USA original that had an oak frame. The poly material has a heavy PVC-smelling backing to it, air it out before use. Overall, I wish the fabric were still canvas-- it is far quieter brushing against nylon sleeping bags (yes, just wait until you sleep with a group of people with nylon bags and nylon cots-- zip zip zip at every turn all night!). I don't think it will be breathable like the old canvas cots, but neither will it absorb water if it gets wet. The army version was more taught (I sometimes used a pry bar to assemble it) yet I find this one snug enough. Some trade-offs but overall I like it.

This cot cradles your body and supports your back. I should know since my back would tell me if it did not provide good support. I never thought I would own a cot, in fact I did not they were still in production. But this is a must have for sleeping outdoors. The cot is compact and is made to last.

This is great very comfy and sturdy, at the sacrifice of being very heavy. These are great when we have houseguests, too, for the kids to sleep on.

We bought one of these, and one of the oversize ones for car camping. We had problems with the oversize one but this one seems OK so far. It sags a little but not nearly as much as the oversize one. It was pretty easy for my 1st grade daughter to assemble the last crossbar. There isn't a lot of tension when you install the last crossbar like there is on an old Army cot. Still, it's pretty comfortable, especially since it's wider than an Army cot. By the way, the oversize and large cots were shipped in their original boxes and they both sustained damage from shipping. One of the feet was torn off from the oversize one so I returned it. A hole was punched into the carrying bag for this cot but I haven't returned it yet.
