I had to have my son set it up the first time. I wasn't strong enough to bend the feet and stretch the fabric.

I haven't got to use this yet, but set it up once already. I read in some of the reviews that it was hard to set up. I didn't have any problem, went together pretty fast. I'm looking forward to using it on rafting trips and camping, as it is low and fits in my 3-man tent fairly well.

Some knucklehead complained about this being difficult to put together. Not true! Great little cot, had it assembled in less than 5 minutes on the first try, and it's certainly more comfy than sleeping on an inflatable mattress.

I agree with other reviewers that this cot is a bit hard to set up. Our other cot is a standard military design and we love it. This cot, because it does not have cross poles on the two ends sleeps like a hammock more than a cot. My wife slept on it the first time camping with it and was pretty uncomfortable. I used it last weekend and also struggled with feeling like it was closing in on the sides. It would be great for kids.

We bought this cot for our 11 yr old daughter to use in hotel rooms since we are a family of 5 and we will be doing a lot of travel. It was a simple set up however you need more strenght than I have to stretch the poles into it. My husband could do it and together we set it up in less than 5 minutes. We each tried it out and found it to be very comfortable. We are very happy with it and my daughter loves it.

The product design is good, but the implementation leaves a bit to be desired. Once I got the pieces together, it turned out to be a nice product. Had much difficulty getting the pieces back apart, and had to use a screwdriver and hammer.

Some strength required to insert the legs in the side rails. When breaking down the cot, could not separate two of the side rail segments. They were firmly stuck together.

Not sure about the lightweight name at 9 lbs but it went together easy and will be used for motorcycle camping anyway. The storage bag could be just a bit longer as the four bows tend to stick out the end of it, otherwise the product should work out fine (not tried it yet). At this price, there is no reason to sleep on the ground!
