As I told my friends... If you want a comfortable camping experience.. you need to get comfortable gear and this pad is part of it. Sure, it's big, but I'm 6'2" and 280+lbs and can carry my things around. Just note that the items DOES show it's size and weight. I recommend it for comfort driven campers.

I'm mainly a coastline camper so I wanted a confortable and cool pad that can alleviate roots and rocks. I'm 6'2" and 290 lbs so I can really tell you that once inflated, I do not touch the ground ever. It's true that the pad is big and thick, but that's the main key for this particular product. Therefore, complaining about overall bulk and size comes together with an "I told you so!" from the manufacturer and seller. Excellent product, and thus RECOMMENDED.

Ideal pad for old bones that don't take kindly to bumps and hardness on the ground anymore.

This pad is very comfortable. It is quite challenging to roll up small and needs to come with better straps that are attached to the pad.

My .5lb pad wasn't as comfortable as it used to be, and since I don't backpack all my gear anymore, I upgraded to a luxury pad. Probably should've got the 72x25x2, because this one is more bulky than you realize when you order it, and it takes a LONG time to inflate. But the no-skid bumps on the bottom are genius, and the pad seems very durable.

My main focus was comfort as the thermarest that I have is too narrow at 20". I kept sliding off the thing or if I'd roll over off I'd go. So 10" makes a big difference. I didn't necessarily need the added thickness but it is welcomed. The other features that drew me to this pad was 1) The 'no slip' dots and 2) The width and 3) as an added bonus the little extra thickness at the head for that 'almost home' comfort. Another added bonus over the thermarest is the brass valves, two at that. To me that equals durability and ease. I'm quite pleased with it. Be your own judge...... In fact I used it at my nephews for a nights stay on his floor... He bought one. Enough said.

Pros - Wide and comfortable, has a built in pillow, I can sleep on my side without falling off the pad, pad doesn't slip, pad keeps me warm when the ground is cold Cons - Design flaw is that the pad is difficult to deflate. Should have one valve for inflating, one for deflating. Is bulky when rolled up and is heavy, so is good for car camping only.

The mattress is very comfortable. I recommend getting a larger one to assure a good night's sleep.

This pad is flat out huge and very comfortable - obviously only good for car camping. Suprisingly enough it actually self inflates with more air than I use to sleep on it. Supplied stuff sack is plenty big enough to contain pad.
