ALPS Mountaineering Summit Sleeping Pad - Extra Large

Comfy best sleep I've had in a while!!!!

This thing is big and comfy. Went fishing at the lake for 3 days. I used this pad to sleep comfortably in the bed of my truck. I kept a thin sheet of pegboard in the back of the truck to make a flat surface on the metal bed rails and throw this big boy on top of that. Very comfortable.

I plan on using the ALPS Mountaineering Summit Sleeping Pad this Summer while tent camping. I laid out the pad and followed the directions. The pad was completly inflated in less than 30 minutes. I like the 30" width so I can turn and still stay on the pad. I think it will be good for car camping, but it would be bulky carring it on a backpack.

My husband has been wanting/needing a new sleeping pad and has been using my old thermarest for some time now, and decided to purchase this extra large sleeping pad for himself. I couldn't help but laugh when it came in the mail because rolled up it is larger than our tent! But, he loves it! He's 6'1" and likes to spread out when he sleeps, the pad is huge, but so comfortable it's unreal! I don't think we will be backpacking with it, but for everything else it's great! I'm a little jealous in fact.

it's good to sleep on

Would have given this 5 stars but it takes some serious effort to fully inflate. Bought for a 17 day camping trip to increase comfort over my thermorest. Definitely not for backpacking due to size and weight. I do like the extra width and the 3" thickness.

Could be 2-3 inches shorter--I like the 30 inch width--when on a long road trip, I keep it inflated in the back of mt suv (with air locks opened).

They aren't the smallest of sleeping pads, but they are a lot smaller then some I have seen (jacks welding). Obviously Jack's are more durable, but for car camping these are great!! Even come with straps and sack. Great product!!
