I was looking for a small (but not too small) collapsible or fold up table I could use primarily for camping. This table fits what I was looking for. Set up is basically 4 steps which take about 5 leisurely minutes for the first time set up. The second time I took the pieces out of it's bag, it t... Read More

This table is exactly what I was looking for. I am an artisan that needed a portable small table to set up at craft shows to be part of my booth. This table is lightweight, packs in a bag similar to collapsible chairs, seems sturdy and is easy to assemble. It took a few extra minutes to figure out how to put it together the first time but now that I know how I should be able to do it in under 5 minutes. I checked out similar tables elsewhere but this one seemed like it was better quality and worth the few extra dollars. I hope to use it for many years.

Not hard to figue out how to assemble. It's light, sturdy, with an attractive finish. Good for car camping, having lunch on the patio. Good value from Sierra as usual. They straightened out a shipping snacu with grace and speed.

Out of the box, this table is pretty flimsy. I was kind of expecting that, but couldn't settle on the fact. So, I found a slight modification that will turn this into the camping table of your dreams! Take a small ratchet strap, and loop it around the legs, where the scissor parts meet the legs. Tighten the strap with light pressure, you don't want the scissor parts to bow (I am not liable for any damage to your table!). The strap will tighten any play the legs, and make this thing immensely more sturdy. With the aluminum construction, foldability, combined with this structural tweak -- this table is a killer deal for the car camping enthusiast.

I bought three of these for our boy scout troop. But we adults decided the sharp edges (during set up) were just a bit to sharp for energetic 11 year olds to set up. The table is sturdy.

This is an easy to assemble, sturdy table, with a fairly large table top. I plan on using it on an upcoming canoe trip.

  • Question “Is this table sturdy enough to hold a full 5 gallon water jug?”

Asked on 6/26/2016 8:24:25 PM by charles from wyoming
    • Answer Yes, it's surprisingly sturdy. Had a camp stove, 2.5 gallon water bottle and food/prep all at the same time, could have taken more weight.

    • Answer Yes but youd be gettimg close to maxing it out. I used it for food staging and cooking next to the campfire .

    • Answer I believe it would, but I have not tried that.
Answered on 6/26/2016 9:32:58 PM by Joe from LA
    • Answer Yea totally. I would say it gets sturdier with more weight on it, but I wouldn't push it past 60 lbs. If you tighten a cam strap around the legs it makes the table so much more rigid, see my review.

    • Answer It's not super easy, but it's fairly simple. After you've set up the table a couple times, it becomes second nature. Set the legs, then there are 2 tubes that snap into the legs making a secure base. Then the top 2 sides snap in followed by the top. Everything fits easily into the bag. It makes a good camping table.
