This is one of those STP products when I read the reviews and it seems some are talking about a different product. From my end I have nothing but good things to say about this pad.

If the extra few ounces on a similar self-inflating pad are important to you I guess you could spend two or three tim... Read More

Product is listed as being 3" thick, in reality it is only 2" after leaving them open for a week now. I would not have ordered them had the ad said 2". One more thing, the ad also states the two can be fastened together, no way, nothing to keep them together.

I have used lots of different pads over the years but for comfort and price this is the best. Terrific for car camping where weight is not an issue!

These pads are awesome. Great quality, great size. and quick expansion compared to other pads we own. We will be buying more of these to we are not all fighting over the 2 that we originally purchased.

We haven't actually used them camping yet, but inflated them and tried them out on the living room floor. They are remarkably comfortable and seem to be of good quality. I'm happy with them, just couldn't justify a five star rating since I haven't used them on the road yet. We plan to use them for car camping.

    • Answer First of all, these pads are really awesome. Great quality, great size. and quick expansion compared to other pads we own. We will be buying more of these. To answer your question, I have no idea what a T-bag is. Having said that, I would think yes these can be folded; although, I am not sure what continual folds along the same seems would do to the integrity of the seals. Thusly, I would advise folding it in varying patterns to avoid consistent strain on the same fold-points. So long as you adequately devoid the pad of as much air as you can, I think it would fold pretty close to a tarp-type item. Hope that helps.

    • Answer It is recommended to role this, but you can fold them if you choose to, however it may cause damage to the item.

    • Answer no it doesn't have. I can't think of a way to do that with two of these pads. On the bottom side are small rubber "bumps" to prevent sliding (though they don't work all that well), but that wouldn't help you.

    • Answer I do not believe so. There is another version/model that is designed in this way that STP also sells, and I would recommend looking at that one instead.

  • Question “What is the R value of this pad?”

    • Answer Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I was waiting to hear from ALPS, the ALPS Mountaineering Summit Sleeping Pad - Long has an R value of 5. Have a great day!

    • Answer It has two valves that makes it inflate in seconds. You just have to unscrew the caps, it takes some effort to deflate so night time deflation is rare. Though it is very comfortable and great for car camping. It also has a pebbled bottom to reduce slipping,

    • Answer That how it works-you open the valve,it inflate itself by foam cells expanding, you close the valve. Not so firm and thick as air mattress but less work and feels differently. If you like comfort-air mattress is probably better, but I like more how easy to turn around on self inflating.

    • Answer Open the valve and air flows in. You may want to blow it up to be firmer. Then just close the valve and sleep tight!
