Very pleased with this product. Plenty of room for two men with gear and sleeping bags. Especially liked the center height. We put a tarp underneath just to add protection, but the construction of the bottom is very durable anyway. We didn't have rain or wind so I can't say about those, but I am...

I am thrilled with this tent! One additional surprise is, if you leave the rain fly off ! The top is a mosquito net, about 3 ft, square, and you can see the amazing array stars, as if you were sleeping outside!! Magic! Also, it rained and we were completely dry! Great purchase for the money!!

The tent is easy to put together and has more than enough room for me, my partner, my teenage daughter and our 70 lb dog. When we recently camped in this tent there wasn’t any rain, but there was a lot of moisture in the air which caused the bottom part to become very damp – so much so that anything pushed up against that edge surface was soaked; pillows, books, even my dog’s head! Was really surprised about the reviews claiming it held up in the rain. Also wished it had another entrance on the other side of the tent. Can't really complain for the price, would work great for people who occasionally camp in the summer.

When I received the tent I decided to set it up in the backyard lawn before taking it camping. I have the Marmot Limelight 3 tent (which I love) but it is a smaller 3 person tent and we needed extra room. We wanted a more reasonably priced tent to decided to give the ALPS 4 tent a try. The price was great but a footprint is a separate purchase item. The tent is on the heavier side but the build quality seems good. I struggled getting the tent up by myself, although it was just the first attempt. I should be able to improve the next time it goes up. The best word that describes it is "awkward". It helps to have a 2nd person assist in assembly and teardown. My last tent was an easy 1-man operation. We've decided to keep it since it's a pretty good value and quality but don't expect to erect it in under 15 minutes without some solid practice.

Purchased this tent along with other items for a silent auction fundraiser. Very easy set up when displayed and good quality from this company based out of Montana. Young couple that purchased were thrilled and shared later that they had used it the previous weekend for a camping trip with rave reviews.
The seams are not sealed. It does have a polyurethane coating and the rain fly will also protect from moisture.

The fly is factory sealed and urethane-coated. The sidewalls that are exposed to the weather are also. The floor tub is woven poly tarp material, which, although heavy, is waterproof and rugged. In several days of wet camping, it leaked a small of water around the rear window zipper, but certainly was not flooded. It was far dryer in these conditions than my other tent, a two-person Eureka Apex. The size and vertical walls make it simple to stay out of contact with the fly, which can lead to getting wet from condensation.
