I'm impressed with the well-designed details of this tent--the included gear loft, well placed stretchable transparent panels at the top of each door, the additional velcro pole attachment points (that can be fastened after setting the tent up), ample outside guy points for adding additonal lines if... Easy tent to set it up. Haven't gotten the chance to get it out in the elements yet, but looking forward to it. Going to be tough to fit 3 full size males in the tent, will be better to have two and a bag or two.

Roomy, with excellent head room, dry, and with lots of room under fly for gear.

This is a great tent for the price. I got a really good deal on this a few years ago on Sierra, but i still think it's worth the going price currently. The main thing that sold me on this versus other reasonably priced tents was the aluminum poles. They almost snap together by themselves. Setup couldn't be easier. I have been through numerous heavy rainstorms and never had any water in the tent. It fits two perfectly. With the addition on my 90 lb dog it gets a little tight, but is still doable. The double entry and vestibules are great for two.

Good headroom and light weight. We use this as a two man tent and with the fly serving to keep our gear dry, it is quite spacious. Dry in wet weather and well ventilated in dry, an excellent choice. Another plus: when my dog ate the zipper on the tent, Alps sold me a replacement for about $60! It would have cost much more just to have the zipper replaced.

We haven't used this yet, but we set it up in our living room and it sets up fast, seems good quality, and is a good size for me, my wife, and a 75 pound dog. Would fit 3 people too, though it would be cramped, with no room in the tent for packs. Probably worthwhile to get the footprint too.

    • Includes everything.

    • I haven't measured it exactly, but that's in the right neighborhood when the whole thing is packed down. I usually cycle tour with a one-person tent; this tent is noticeably bigger than that, but I would not have any issues putting it on a bike rack behind the saddle.

    • Everything is included in that pack size. It is probably a little bigger in the middle, but mostly due to my packing techniques (cram it all in). It isn't too hard to get it all in the bag though. Stakes and poles have their own bags, but all fit in the big one.

The double doors and vestibules are really nice. It does need a footprint as the bottom is pretty thin. I have stayed dry in it through several strong storms. If you guy this tent out properly, it's very sturdy.

    • I would have measure, which im not in a position to do currently. However, it is a trapezoidal floor, wider at the shoulders and narrows a bit near the feet. Overall floor length is over six feet, it is a comfortable tent for two 6'1" 200 pound guys. I would try to put three in there.

    • The brown triangle on the front of the rain-fly is a vent, but it is not adjustable.
Answered on 8/20/2012 12:00:00 AM by Prod. Spec. Ryan from Sierra Trading Post
    • This tent has two vents. One is under the brown triangle on the side of the fly, above the ALPS logo, visible in the picture. That is a screen section, and is "adjusted" (if you can call it that) by the angle at which you guy out that vent flap. Guy it close to the base of the tent, not much airflow through that vent. Guy it farther out, more airflow.

Vent #2, and really the primary vent, is on top of the fly, in front of the brown triangle on top of the fly. This is a standard "velcro stick" type vent, and is adjustable.

Overall, you're going to have zero issues with airflow and condensation if you guy this thing properly. And that's from someone who has camped nearly a dozen rainy nights in the humid southeast in this exact tent.
